Zennie B. (Carter) Dale, was born May 22, 1948, in Colbert County to the late Johnie Carter, Sr. and Bessie M. King Carter. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church, Leighton, Alabama.
Zennie was educated in the Colbert County School system. She graduated from Leighton Training School in 1966. She continued her education at Muscle Shoals Technical School where she earned her LPN. Her education continued at N.W. Shoals Community College where she earned her RN degree. She worked as a nurse at Helen Keller Hospital and Shoals Hospital before retiring in March 2010.
Zennie was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Johnie Carter Jr., Curtis L. Carter and Isaiah Carter Sr.
Zennie departed this life on September 2, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Romulus (Chiquita) Dale Sr., Vergil (Tamara) Dale, and William A. Dale Jr. Two sisters; Fannie (Willie) Freeman, Pearline (Ron) Talley. One brother; George (Saundra) Carter. Five grandchildren; Tiara Dale, Taneisha Dale, Tamyra Dale, Shontale Whiteside and Romulus Dale Jr. Sister-in-law, Amor Carter. Eight Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
