Willie B. Davis “Bill”, 86, of Leighton, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on January 9, 1940, to Robert and Lizzie Lee Davis. As a young child, he understood the value of hard work. He believed that honest work built character, and he led by example every single day. He worked for over 30 years as a dedicated employee at Reynolds Metals/Wise Alloys Company where he was respected for his integrity, leadership, and kindness.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, rabbit hunting, and spending time with his animals. He was also an active member of the church choir at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annie P. Davis; two brothers, Walter James Davis, and Edgar Earl Davis; four sisters-in-law, Edna Davis, Faye Davis, Georgia Davis, and Mary Alexander; brother-in-law, Willie Alexander; his children, Dexter Davis (Rita), Keith Davis, Willie Deshawn Davis (Joyce), and Kelvin Davis; his beloved 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, and a host of friends.
Bill will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
