Tammy Yvonne Phillips was born in Waverly, Tennessee on September12, 1971 as the firstborn child of Carl and Stella Phillips. In 1976, the Phillips family of 5 moved to Florence, Alabama. They immediately found the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attached themselves to it. Tammy manifested her love for Jehovah at a young age and dedicated her life to Him on October 24,1987 at the age of 16. She took her dedication seriously and she immediately started participating in the full-time ministry to share with others her joy of knowing about Jehovah and his wonderful promises for the future as recorded in the Bible. She graduated from Coffee High School in 1989 while engaging in this full-time work attending her first Pioneer Service School in August of 1989. She gave her best and this showed even in her secular work. She was always known to have a smile. She was awarded Employee of the Month many times! Tammy fell asleep in death on February 26, 2022, at the Williamson Medical Center after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Phillips. Those left to cherish her memory is her mother – Stella Phillips; sisters – Bridgett Summerhill (Vance); Glenda Pugh (Cornelius); Nephew – Dominique Pugh (Emily); Nieces – Breanna Carrol; Ellianna Phillips; great-nephew – Carter Pugh; great-niece – Madilyn Pugh; a host of loving relatives including aunts, uncles, cousins; and a worldwide brotherhood. Tammy was known for her kindness, generosity, hospitality, and her cheerful disposition. She was always smiling! She loved children and would volunteer to babysit on many occasions. She was very fond of her nephew and nieces. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the friends at Norwood Park Congregation in Florence, Alabama, and the Springhill Congregation in Springhill, Tennessee, who assisted her with her needs, and at times in inclement weather. That meant a lot to her, personally. Also, thanks to the Nurses staff in CCU at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin Tennessee who spent many hours to help make her comfortable and "all" who have had a share in her life of memories.
