Tammy Delores (Green) Jones

Tammy "Big Blue 88" Green Jones was born on August 31,1969, to the late Harry Thomas Ricks and Louise Green Ricks. She departed this life on March 3, 2025, at Helen Keller Hospital.

She confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined Red Bank M.B. Church. She worked at Wayne Farms in Decatur, Alabama, and retired due to illness. Later, she went back to work at the Point Seafood Restaurant until they closed. She loved playing Bingo, Cards, Pokeno, and most of all she loved playing her music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three grandchildren, Zane, Zaniyah, and Zariyah.

She leaves to cherish her memories:

A loving and devoted husband of 26 years, Earnest Lee (Cookie) Jones; two sons, Nicholas Benford and Clifton "Pig"  (Jada) Benford; three stepchildren, Japonica (Marice Baker) Porter, Cody Porter, and Antonio (Antoinetta) Petty; twelves Grandchildren; two Godsons, Micheal Jones and Denarius Hood; three brothers, Rome (Tonya) Green, Thomas (Tasha) Hampton, and Dwight (Maria) Sanders; two sisters, Laveeta (Leonard) Reedus and Ashley (Daughter) Ricks; five God sisters, Stephanie Billings, Teresa Billings, Melesa Mitchell, Erica Lynch, and Maryiln Sears; five God brothers, Samuel Billings, Murphy Billings, Zachary Billings, Jeffery Billings, and Jerrold Billings; four aunts, Christine (Bruce) Cal, Emma Warren, Betty Koger and Shirley Green; three uncles, Jerry (Ann) Green, Robert Ricks, and Kenneth Green; one great aunt, Evelyn Ricks; five sisters-in-law, Janet Jones (Special & Devoted), Gloria (Clerence) Penchion, Angela Brooks, Shirley Jones, and Janie Jones; five brothers-in-law, John (Carolyn) Jones, Clarence Jones, Frankie (Charlene) Jones, and Tony (Angela) Jones; two special nieces, Myeal Steward and Latonya Hampton; special friends, Tiffany Ricks, Juanita Bynum, and Henry Simmons; and host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
