Miss Sue Anna Billingsley was born on December 14, 1939, to the late John Billingsley and Ann Harriett Billingsley. She departed her life on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Cypress Cove in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Sue confessed her hope in Christ and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church of Leighton, Alabama.
She was a graduate of Leighton Training School. Later, she moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she stayed for fifty-six years and became a member of New Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church of Chattanooga, TN. At Emmauel, Sue was a dedicated usher, who served faithfully over twenty-six years. She retired in 2015, and then moved back home to Leighton, Alabama in 2018, where she joined the Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, John Billingsley and Ann Harriett Billingsley; two brothers, John Billingsley, Jr., and Clark Billingsley.
She leaves to cherish her memories:
her brother, Curtis Beasley of Chattanooga, TN; a loving and devoted niece, Rochelle Burnett of Sheffield, AL; a very devoted cousin, William Lee (Sarah) Hayley of Leighton, AL; a special friend, Alfred Smith of Chattanooga, TN; and other relatives and friends.
