Rickey Mitchell

God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed the loving eyes and said, Peace be thine. Ricky found sweet rest at last.

Mr. Rickey Mitchell was born on April 2, 1961, in Lawrence County, Alabama to Janie Lee Mitchell and James Malone. Ricky confessed in Christ at an early age and joined Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church of Town Creek, Alabama, until he moved to Muscle Shoals, then joined Bethel Colbert Missionary Baptist Church of Leighton.

Rickey finished 12th grade at Hazelwood High School in Town Creek, AL. Ricky worked on many jobs, but he loved being a mechanic until his health failed. 

He leaves to cherish his memories:

Mitchell; Brother: Samuel McCoy; Sister: Deborrah Malone; Stepfather: Frank Goodman, Sr.; Rickey was preceded in death by his Brother: Darreck Malone; Father: James Malone; Three Uncles: Curtis James Mitchell, Jake Mitchell, Jr., Franklie Lee Mitchell; His Children: Kelsy Barnett Sledge, Kindrick Barnett, Lisa Barnett, Potako Barnett; and Grandchildren; Step-sister: Felita Goodman, Stepbrothers: Frank Goodman, Jr., Jordan Goodman and a host of other relatives and friends.
