Mr. Quinton Ramon Stovall affectionally known as “Big Poppa” or “Q”, was born in Florence, AL on July 4, 1977, to Leonard Perkins & late Eddie Yvette Perkins. He departed this life on January 23, 2025, at Skyline Medical Hospital, Nashville, TN.
Quint was preceded in death by his loving mother, Eddie Yvette Perkins.
Quint attended Coffee High School in Florence, Alabama, where he was a proud member of the graduating Class of 1995.
At an early age, he joined St Mark Missionary Baptist church where he was baptized and began his journey of faith.
Quint worked as a Team Lead at United Record Pressing, a job he took great pride in. His co-workers admired him not only for his professionalism but also for his humorous nature. He had a unique ability, making work enjoyable for everyone around him.
He was an avid Auburn football fan along with his boys. His love for Auburn was evident to all who knew him. He also had a deep passion for music. Anyone who knew him knew how much music meant to him. He had a gift for setting up sound systems in vehicles, making sure everything was perfectly tuned. It was his signature to announce his arrival a mile away with music that could be heard long before he was seen, letting everyone know he was on the way.
Quint had a witty sense of humor that could light up any room. He had the unique ability to make everyone laugh, whether through a clever joke or a funny story. His humor was infectious and brought happiness to all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
his father Leonard (Lucy Mosely) Perkins; 2 sons: Mr. Adarius Stovall & Mr. Dakari Stovall; their mothers Ms. Jenny Rains & Ms. Rashonda Phillips all of Nashville, TN. He resided with Jenny Rains his devoted partner & shared a close and caring father/son relationship with her son D.J. (Paige) Davis of Bowling Green, KY; 3 brothers: Mr. Johnnie Childs, Atlanta, GA, Mr. Jabari Perkins, Mr. Desmond Murphy Florence AL & extended brother Mr. Gary Huff Nashville, TN; 2 uncles: Robin (Sheena) Stovall, Florence, AL & David (Pam) Stovall, Muscle Shoals, AL; 6 aunts: Ms. Bridgette Stovall, Ms. Lula Oates, Ms. Edna Perkins, Mrs. Linda K (David) Harden, all of Florence, AL; 2 nieces Jakyla Perkins, Florence, AL & Genesis Childs Atlanta, GA; 1 nephew Jayden Murphy Florence, AL and a host of great aunts, cousins, family and friends.
