Maurice Arnold, at the young age of 70, departed this life peacefully on Monday April 24, 2023. Born March 17, 1953 to Bernice (Arnold) Smith and Floyd Williams.
Maurice spent his childhood in Hayti, Missouri, before moving to Saginaw, Michigan. Where he later met the love of his life Sue Arnold and were later married. He then decided to join the military where he served for two years in the U.S. Marine Corp. Later, after spending some time in Baldwin, MI he decided to move his family to Oklahoma and pursue his passion of becoming a commercial truck driver. He eventually retired after 20 years as a commercial truck driver in Florence, AL.
Maurice was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son, and uncle. He was well known for his love of grilling, football, basketball, pool playing and dominoes skills. He had a heart of gold and never turned down some good home cooking. He loved his family immensely. He was well liked by everyone. He was always willing to feed anyone and give the shirt off his back. He enjoyed traveling to different restaurants and trying new food.
He will continue to live in the hearts of those that he loved and those that loved him: his wife, Sue Arnold; Tricia Martin; Maurice (Tonia) Arnold; Chennita (Anthony) Morrison; Maurice Bowens; mother Bernice Smith; brother Rickey Smith; sisters, Emma Anderson, Reta (Booker) Terry; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
