Mary Louise Daniels Southard was born on December 30, 1940, to the late James H. Williams and Kattie M. Barnett. She was called home on November 21, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center of Florence, Alabama.
Mary accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Moriah M. B. Church of Tuscumbia, Alabama. Later, she was added to the Cherokee Church of Christ in Cherokee, Alabama, where she served faithfully until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alex Daniels; brothers, James L. Williams, George Williams, and Reverend John Williams; sister, Susie Elaine Williams; and son-in-law, Cedric Johnson.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Felecia Johnson of Muscle Shoals, AL; four brothers, Odis (Christina) Williams of North Charleston, SC, Willis Williams of Largo, FL, Marion Williams of Bowie, MD, and Sylvester (Adrienne) Williams of Canton, GA; two sisters, Vernethia Garner and Annie (Frederick) Rowlett, both of Florence, AL; two grandsons, Cedric (Jerrica) Johnson II and Brandon Johnson, both of Huntsville, AL; three great-grandchildren, Kyler White of Florence, AL, and Braylon and Sage Johnson, both of Huntsville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
