Mrs. Marguerite Dale-McCulloch was born February 6, 1935, to the late Jack and Ella Dale in Russellville (Franklin County, Alabama) one of thirteen children. On Sunday, September 14, 2025, God said “it was time to come home”.
Marguerite gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church. She was a missionary, secretary and choir member.
Marguerite went to Reedtown School (part of the Rosenwald School system). Later, she attended and graduated from nursing school during the 1970’s as a nurse. Marguerite was employed at Russellville Hospital and Terrence Manor Nursing Home. She also graduated from a six-week continuing education computer course during the 80’s.
She was dedicated to her family, passionately devoted to her children pouring the Word of the Bible and Jesus in their lives while stressing a college education (both graduating from the University of North Alabama). An excellent self-taught seamstress she created dresses, school costumes, boy/men suits and drapes etc. She was an avid flower gardener and craftswoman.
Marguerite loved music, passing that love on to her children. She was well-known as a gospel singer in the community, comparing her to Mahalia Jackson. She was requested to sing at funerals and other programs. Songs “Peace in the Valley”......”Precious Lord”......”When they ring those golden Bells” and more.
Her love for Jesus and belief in the word of God was always first and foremost throughout her life......She would often say “Trust In God always” from one of her favorite scriptures Proverbs 3:5-6..... “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding.....in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path”.
