Marcus Dewayne Pride

Mr. Marcus Dewayne Pride was born February 5, 1980, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama, to Nathaniel Pride and the late Doris Pride. Marcus transitioned to his eternal home on February 4, 2023, at his residence in Sheffield, Alabama. Marcus attended Columbia High School in Decatur, Georgia. Marcus was previously employed with DeKalb County Roads and Drainage. Marcus was loved by all and will be missed. Marcus was a hard worker, and he loved to smile, he loved his children, and he loved his family. Marcus was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Lewis, Mr. Robert Alfred Pride, Sr., and Esther Moulton Pride; three aunts, Annie Pride Chandler, Essie Pride Ingram, and Leata Summerhill; two uncles, Robert Alfred Pride, Jr. and Harvey Summerhill, Sr. Marcus leaves to cherish his loving memories: his two loving and devoted daughters, Katlyn Pride of Florence, Alabama, and Eliyah Myelle Giles of Greenville, South Carolina; loving and devoted father, Nathaniel Pride (Gloria) of Sheffield, Alabama; loving and devoted sister, Vera Madden of Florence, Alabama; loving and devoted brother, Nathaniel Pride (Michelle) of Sheffield, Alabama; loving and devoted aunts, Mrs. Diane Pride Ricks of Sheffield, Alabama and Marcia Bowden; loving and devoted uncle, Oliver Pride; special friend, Sherry Byrd Pride of Florence, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
