Ms. Maggie Gertneice Armstead was the second child born to the late Enoch and Maggie Armstead on September 09, 1934 and received her wings on March 14, 2019 at home among her loved ones.
She confessed her belief and faith in Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church. She continued her work for the Lord serving on the Usher Board and Treasure for Sunday Evening Circle Committee and any other capacity as needed.
She was a graduate of Trenholm High School.
She retired from Tishomingo Manor after many years of working.
She was loved by many especially her family. She was fervently called "Aunt Gert" by so many as well as "Polly and Granny." She was indeed a loving woman. Everyone who came in touched with her loved her dearly. She touched many lives with her courageous spirit and the Love she had for the Lord.
She leaves to cherish wonderful memories, a loving caring daughter: Ms. Charlean Rutland, Tuscumbia, Al., a grandson: LaDarren Rutland, Cherokee, Al., a granddaughter: LaCharren Rutland, Tuscumbia, Al., brother: Mr. Herbert Armstead, loving nieces, nephew, cousins and a host of friends.
