OBITUARY

Lucy V. Jarmon of Muscle Shoals, AL took her final breath on April 18, 2023. She was only 8 years old. The family is deeply saddened by her death. Lucy was born on March 9, 1942 to Leslie Madding (deceased) and Susie M. Madding (deceased).

Lucy accepted Christ at a young age and remained a dedicated member of Macedonia MB Church until her passing. Before retiring from Ford Motor Company Lucy received numerous awards and certificates as a facilitator, trainer, recorder, speaker, computer awareness, and human relations. She was a nurse at Keller Hospital (formerly Colbert County Hospital) and St. Louis University Hospital. She took care of many families as a nanny and domestic helper.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Lucy also loved singing, dancing, reading the Bible, and cooking. She never met a stranger by greeting you with a smile and a question of, "Who are your people?" or "What's your last name?". If you spoke with her long enough she would get you entire life story, provide wisdom, give a few Psalms to read, and determine she knew your family by calling out names. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with anyone in her presence. Lucy was full of love, light, positivity, faith, grace, and wisdom traits that were obvious to all after just a single conversation with her.

Lucy joins Leslie Madding (Father), Susie M. Madding (Mother), Leslie Madding Jr. (Brother), Willie Cowan (Brother) and Jerry Madden (Brother) in Heaven. She is survived by her children Arninta Burt (Daughter), Jerry Hall (Son), and Barry Antonio Madding (Son); grandchildren Nicholas Burt (Juana), Tara Morris (LaBaron), and Damarcus Hooks; great-grandchildren Deonte Burt, Marley Ellison, Demi Rose Burt, and Salomon Burt; brothers James Goode, Johnny B. Madden, Johnny Cowan (Jessie Mae), Thomas Harris and Kenneth Cowan; sisters Minnie Smith (Cecil), Constance Johnson and Monica Perkins (Mark); aunts Hattie Sanders, Ruby Tarin (Matthew), Lethia Mae Madden; uncles Percy Harris (Dessie), Sonny Madden; goddaughter LaDonna Jones, godson Roy Garner; dedicated niece LaToya Bailey-Johnson (Tandra) and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and friends. A special thank you to Enhabit Home Health, Betty Evans, Teresa Harris, Mattie Watkins, Carol McDonald, Bobby and Annie Shackleford.
