God called Lilly Mae Brown Ricks, age 87, from her earthly residence and escorted her to her glorious everlasting home on Friday, November 5, 2021. She was born December 24th, 1933, to the late Robert and Lizzy Anna Brown.
Lilly Mae was one of eight children. She attended school in Margerum, Alabama. Lilly Mae was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church where she accepted Christ at an early age. Lilly had a gift of loving everyone and loved serving others as a live-in caregiver.
She was so excited and proud of her children and grandchildren who she loved so much. Lilly Mae was preceded in death by both parents Mr. Robert Brown and Mrs. Lizzy Anna Brown from Margerum, Alabama. Two brothers Albert Johnson Jr., William Johnson, and James E Smith. Three sisters Alice D Connie, Kathy S. Connie, and Amanda G. Connie. Two sons Ronnie Ricks of Sheffield, Alabama, and O’Neal Ricks of South Carolina. One adorable grandson Nathan L. Liles of Tuscumbia Alabama.
Mrs. Lilly Mae leaves to cherish her loving memory three daughters Vernita Standard (AKA) Ann Ricks of Sheffield Alabama, Charlotte Liles of Tuscumbia Alabama, and Janice McCray of Tuscaloosa Alabama. Three Sons: Richard Ricks Jr. of Cleveland Ohio, Kenny Ricks of Tuscumbia Alabama, and Wayne Ricks of Cleveland, Ohio. One loving sister Eleanor Anderson (David). Thirty-one grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren. A host of loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lilly Mae also leaves to grieve four loyal and loving caregivers, Ann Ricks, Jerry Thompson, Percy Shaw, and Rachel Standard.
