Larry Darnell Burns was born July 2, 1957, to the late John and Helen Burns of Sheffield, AL. He passed this life on September 12, 2023, at Med. City, Fort Worth, Texas.
He moved to Sheffield at an early age with his family from Cleveland, Ohio. He later attended Sheffield High School and after graduation he joined the U.S. Army for a short term. He then decided to move to Fort Worth, Texas to start his own business, Burns Small Printing Service. He was a very devoted business owner and loved his work.
He enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing, motorcycle riding and horseback riding. He also enjoyed Jazz and Reggae music. He became a member of Woods Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ, Lufkin, Texas.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 35 years Carolyn Burns of Desoto, Texas; Son, Ahmad (Sarah) Adams, Sheffield, Alabama; brother, Johnny Burns Jr. Muscle Shoals, Alabama; sister Adrienne (Carl) Burns Acklin Sheffield, Alabama; Three nephews, Alonzo (Kliyeah) Burns, Huntsville, Alabama, Johnny Burns III, Jacksonville, Florida, and Shaddrick (Tandi) Vaughn, Tuscumbia, Alabama; Three nieces, Consuella (Jamar Sr.) Hargress, Jessica Smith, and MarQuita Ricks all of Sheffield, Alabama; Stepsons; Raymond (Angela) Jenkins, Ronald Jenkins, and Reginald (Irene) Jenkins all of Dallas, Texas. A host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
