On October 5, 1974, in Chicago Illinois, Annie Moore Fletcher and John Fletcher were blessed with a baby boy and named him, Kenny Lamont Moore. Annie and John raised Kenny in Gary, Indiana, along with Kenny’s three siblings, William, Angela, and Christopher, along with his brothers by choice, Fredrick Williams (Deidre) and Jeremy Redick, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenny went on to graduate from Westside High School and after graduating, Kenny went on to drive semi-trucks for a few years after being into the profession of driving trucks. Kenny met the love of his life, and her name was April Howell. Kenny and April went on to have three children, Kamareá, Kenny, Jr., and Korvelle. Their children went on to make three adorable grandchildren, Kamdon, Ka’Hyri, and Ka’moni. He was also blessed with three bonus children, Brianna, Malaysia, and Jaclyn Carter.
Kenny departed his earthly life on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama. The Lord spoke to Kenny a few months ago and he made him want to start going to church again, but due to his health, he could not go to church physically. He was able to worship from his home and also virtually worshipped with Church 2819 with Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell.
Kenny was also the rock of his family, none of us would be anything without him......a lot of us would still be trying to find ourselves.
