He is preceded in death by his parents, Ella Mae and Richard Williams; one brother, Richard “Jake” Williams; two sisters, Carrie Roy and Lula Teresa “LuLu” Addison.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lender Faye Williams of Muscle Shoals, AL; one daughter, Tonya Smith of Muscle Shoals, AL; two sons, James Whiteside (Tynisha) of Muscle Shoals, AL; Kelsey Whiteside (Shontale) of Florence, AL; LV Harris of Muscle Shoals, AL; a loving mother-in-law, Annie Whiteside of Muscle Shoals, AL; one sister-in-law, Dorothy McClain of Muscle Shoals, AL; three brothers-in-law, Ricky Whiteside (Teresa) of Muscle Shoals, AL, Eddie Whiteside (Gail) of Georgia, and Earl Whiteside of Muscle Shoals, AL; three sisters, Barbara Williams of Decatur, AL; Etta Russell of Florence, AL, and Charlotte Winston of Sheffield, AL; one brother, Fred Williams of Florence, AL; 33 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a special friend, Alonzo Thompson of Muscle Shoals, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
