Jimmie D. Walker was born July 20th, 1962, to Mr. & Mrs. Steve Lee Walker. He transitioned on November 7,2024.
Jimmie was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church. He attended Northwest Shoals Community college where he received an Associate's Degree in Air condition and refrigeration.
Jimmie was always known to be a hard worker from his 1st job at Mr. C's restaurant, up until his last job at McKinney's lumber where he became disabled. Jimmie always took pride in everything he did. Jimmie also loved to cook. When Jimmie was no longer able to work, he was devoted to the care of his younger brother Cecil before Cecil transitioned. Jimmie was just as devoted to helping take care of his mother right up until he himself transitioned.
Jimmie was a joy to be around, everyone loved him especially the children. He and his brother-in-law Clarence often argued about who was going to take care of the Emma's. Jimmie had a big heart and a kind and loving spirit.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his father Mr. Steve Lee Walker, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith and his younger brother Cecil Wendell Walker.
Jimmie is survived by his mother, Mrs. Emma Walker of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; one aunt, Mrs. Sarah Reynolds of St Louis Missouri; three brothers, Steve Lee Walker Jr. (Bernice) of Cleveland Ohio, Thomas Earl Walker of Sheffield, Alabama, and Kevin O'Brian Walker of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; two sisters, Ranell Ricks (Arthur) of Leighton, Alabama and Emma Thompson (Clarence) of Tuscumbia, Alabama. Jimmie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him, and he loved dearly.
