Jerry Karl Ricks

Jerry Karl Ricks was born on April 20, 1979 to Jerry and Birdie Ricks at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama. He departed this life on August 7, 2021. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Article William and Annie Laura Ricks and Maternal grandparents, Brooker and Lena Williams.

Karl dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He was raised in Sheffield, Alabama, and attended Sheffield City Schools. Karl had an infectious smile and he was deeply loved by a lot of people.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two children, a daughter, Kyendi Ricks and a son, JeKari Ricks. He also leaves behind two sisters: Tanya R. Ricks and Shirl Williams, two brothers: Charles Smith and Maurice Reed, uncles: Thomas (Shirley) Ricks, Brooker Williams, aunts: Dorothy (Patrick) Howell, Carolyn Powers, Yvonne Frazier and Darlene Chess, nieces: Leondra Rice and Harmoni Reed, nephews: Jamal and Jamel Busby, Makai Williams. Special friends: Monique Cooper, Ariana Horrison and honorary brothers: Rondale Hamer, Zachary Jackson and Desmond Thomas and a host of other friends and relatives.
