James Odis Roach (Scooter) was born in Florence, Alabama on May 23, 1959 to Velma and William Roach. James was a member of Petersville Missionary Baptist Church. He confessed his life at an early age. James was a dedicated member and did many things for the church.
James did many things in his life, brick layer, state docks, superior masonry equipment operator, and cement finisher he was also employed at Imc and Bobo Land Scraping. He was a jack of all trades, what ever you needed done he was the man to call.
James was preceded in death with his parents, Velma and William Roach.
James is survived by his wife, Beatrice Ralston, his sons, Marcus McClure, James McClure, daughter, Amy Wqtts (Steven), six sisters: Virginia Hampton, Annie Garth, Mary Sistrunk, Mattie (David) Ingram, Carolyn (Ralph) Barnett, and Mollie (Darryl) Hughes, one brother, William Roach, and a host of grandchildren, great- grandchild , niece, nephew and other family and friends.
