James departed this life on Oct 12, 2021 in Sheffield Alabama at his residence.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mrs. Wanda Hulett, maternal grandparents, Mrs. Viola E. Washington (Clarence), paternal grandparents, Mr. Willie and Mrs. Eulia Thirkill Hulett, aunts: Mrs. Barbara Hampton, Mrs. Paula Seay, and Mrs. Regina Seay Hamm, two sisters: Ms. Nitra Hulett and Ms. Kadesha Hullet and one nephew, T’Quiz Hulett.

James leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Maurice Mitchell, sisters: Eulia (Isiah) Joplin and Tiffany (Charles) Ruffin of Sheffield, Alabama, aunts: Alice (Ronald) Garner, Juanita Seay of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, uncles: Robert (Flora) Seay and John Seay of Sheffield, Alabama, three nieces: LaKayle Anderson, LaTasha Ruffin and T’Nijah Hulett, nephews: Charles Darby, Jr., T’Coryen Hulett, Ka’Nas Ruffin, TaVyon Hulett, T’Kythen Hulett, KaMearrea Ruffin, and JaMaries Hulett, One granddaughter, Khalani Mitchell, and a very special friend, Karsandra Williams and a host of cousins relatives and friends.
