Our beloved son, Jabari Jaron Young was born on June 11th, 1992, to Fontella Yvette Young. He was adopted by his grandparents, Riley and Hattie Young, and was reared with loving care. He was loved by his siblings and was a joy to the family. He attended Muscle Shoals City Schools and graduated from Muscle Shoals High School on May 28, 2010. While in high school, he became a member of the junior high and high school band and became an outstanding percussionist while playing the snare drums. He played for a while for our church. He was baptized into Christ on April 2, 2000, by Dr. J.C. Carter and participated in church activities.
Jabari had a passion for skating and was a master of trucking while skating. He also loved fast cars and motorcycles. When he worked, he worked hard and fast and any task his dad had to do, he would jump ahead and do it. He enrolled and briefly attended Shoals Community College, and he was later accepted into the Electrical Apprentice Program and trained on the job at Toyota Motors Huntsville, AL.
He met and married Miss Danielle Byrum on May 18, 2018, and to this union a beautiful baby girl was born, Leilani Jade Young. Later, he met and married Miss Shamela Barnett on January 19, 2023.
Jabari leaves to mourn his untimely demise:
his parents, Riley and Hattie Young; his natural mother, Fontella Yvette Morris; his daughter, Leilani Jade Young; four sisters, Alesha Yasmine Young, Mystica Justice Brown, Rashida Thompson, and Myrika Thompson; one uncle, Anton Lamar Young (Tenille) who was also a brother to him; one aunt, Breona Thompson, Paternal grandparents, Minavis and Meadie Thompson of Muscle Shoals, AL, five great aunts, Mrs. Edna Young of Muscle Shoals, AL, Miss Ruby Hayes of Rutledge, AL, Mrs. Ernestine Simmons of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Louise Loving of Cleveland, OH, and Mrs. Willette Floyd if Michie, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.
