Mr. Herbert Johnson was born on March 28, 1947. He departed this earthly life on August 3, 2024.
He was a retired veteran and a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Sheffield, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his son, Herbert D. Johnson; grandson, Jasmon C. Johnson, Jr.; mother, Ollie Mae Johnson; father, Jerry B. Johnson; brothers, Earnest L. Johnson and Percy Johnson; and sisters, Ellen L. Crenshaw and Hazel Nell Steed.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his daughter, Arja S. Johnson. Four sons, Cameron Butler, Jasmon C. Johnson, Jonarvis Casey, and KaJari Whiteside; two stepsons, Reco Robinson and Devonne Harris; one stepdaughter, Merica (Cory) Little; grandkids, Jaleah C. Johnson, Taniya Williams, JaVarious Ramson, Jaycie Casey, Cameron Butler, Jr., Dominique Williams, Taquiani Johnson, and Corbin Little; great-grandson, Baylor C. Peebles; Brothers: Carl (Nell) Johnson, L. C. Johnson, Rufus(Rhonda) Johnson, Jim (Deborah) Johnson, Gordon (Jo Ann) Johnson, and Willie Johnson. Sisters: Margie (James) Freeman and Helen Johnson. Second family, four brothers, Jimmy Williams, John Williams, Mark Williams, and Bruce Williams; two devoted nieces, Venessa (Kevin) Burns and Kenisha (Randy) Berry; devoted cousin, Latara Reels; devoted friends, Roselyn Johnson, Larry Smith, “Cook,” “AL”, J. Jolly and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
