Grover C. Hankins

Mr. Grover C. (Nip) Hankins, AKA “Debo” was born on August 11, 1950, to the late Harry D. and Susan Elizabeth Hankins. He was surrounded by his loved ones at Mitchell’s Hollinsworth Nursing Home and rehab when God called him home on January 13, 2025.

He is preceded in death by three sisters, Verta Mae Jackson, Annie Pearl Jackson Hankins, and Shirley Hankins; three brothers, Rev. Willi D. Hankins, Donnie Horrison, and Walter Hankins.

He leaves to cherish his memories:

four children with Christine Jackson: Harry Jackson of Brent, AL, Tess Jackson of Sheffield, AL, Walter (Jessica) Jackson of Muscle Shoals, AL, Brandon (Ashley) Jackson of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Kadarius (Santanna) Lewis of Leighton. AL; two brothers: Charlie (Annie) Hankins of Muscle Shoals, AL and Larry (Rene) Hankins of Muscle Shoals, AL; four sisters: Bonnie Thompson of Florence, AL, Kitty Hankins of Athens, AL, Dora Hankins of Sheffield, AL, Rebecca (Bill) Hankins of Sheffield, AL; thirteen grandchildren: Shanese Jackson, Nikki Jackson, ShaCarrie Orr, Destiny Jones, Kaventa Jackson, Myron Smith, Jr., KeAndre Smith (Kaitlyn), Morgan Jackson, Hannah Pickens, Danyale Jackson, KaDarius Acklin, GABE Bautista, and KaMiyah Lewis; a special niece, Miss Jupiter Hankins; a special friend, Sophanie Patty; a host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
