Mrs. Glenda Dale Whiteside King was the fifth child born to the late James Whiteside, Sr., and Alma Abernathy Whiteside on December 24, 1954, in Sheffield, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jamiliya L. King, brother, Jerry Whiteside, mother-in-law, Louis King, aunts: Lillie Fort, Geraldine Abernathy, Emma Goodloe, Alean Jones, Ludie M. Abernathy, Lillie M. Whiteside and Helen Spearmon, brothers in law: James Pugh, Eddie Stevenson and Larry Toney, special friends: Annie Thompson and Annie Stanley.

Glenda became a baptized Christian and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in August 1966 and later moved her membership to Calvary M.B. Church in Sheffield, Alabama where she worshipped faithfully until death.

She is survived by her husband, James E. King, her foster daughter, Quintina Sadler, Sheffield, Alabama, step daughters: CaSheta (Fredrick) Rutland, Sheffield, Alabama and Tamenda (Maurice) Vinson, Tuscumbia, Alabama, sisters: Carol Whiteside, Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Evelyn W. Pugh of Sheffield, Alabama, brothers: James Jr. (Vonda), Charles (Marilyn) and Larry (Paula) Whiteside, aunts: Lucille Hampton and Lorain Abernathy both of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, brother in law, Larry King, sisters in law: Jaqueline K. Carter and Gwen Pugh, special friend, Doris Nelson, the Missionary Society of Calvary M.B. Church and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
