George was in the Muscle Shoals Golf Committee, coached Youth Football for the Willie Green Center, but most of all he was an advent supporter of Alabama A&M University in Normal, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving daughter, Dinah Reed, Tuscumbia, son, George Edward Johnson, Jr, sister-in-law, Hattie Finley, brother-in-law, Frederick (Margaret) Williams, all of Tuscumbia, Alabama, two grandchildren four great grandchildren, a special friend, Yacca Cockeham, and a host of niece’s nephews and other relatives and friends.
