Florine (Davidson) Thirlkill

Florine Davidson Thirlkill was born November 7, 1943, to the late Green Davidson II and Elnora Byrd Davidson in Tuscumbia, Al. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, peacefully in her home.

Florine D. Thirlkill was wedded to Charles Thirlkill in February of 1962. Six children were born from this union: Melvin, Angela, Brien, Clevon, Gerald, and Eric. 

Florine was a graduate of Sterling High school. She was employed by TVA for a number of years. After her retirement she worked part time with her brother, Rev. Dr. Green Davidson III at his barbecue restaurant. Florine loved cooking, going to church, and family gatherings. Florine D. Thirlkill was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Tuscumbia, Alabama, until her health declined. 

Preceding in her death were her parents; husband, Charles Thirlkill; sister, Pearline Davidson; brothers, Robert Davidson, Harold Davidson, Leon Davidson, Rev. Larry Davidson; sons, Edward O. Brien Thirlkill, Gerald Thirlkill.  

Florine leaves to cherish her memories: 

her brother,  Rev. Dr. Green Davidson III (Barbara) of Tuscumbia, AL; sons, Melvin Thirlkill of Sheffield, AL, Clevon Thirlkill (Laura) of Florence, AL, and Eric Thirlkill of Sheffield, AL; daughter, Angela Smith (Launceford) of Muscle Shoals, AL; daughter-in-law, Verna Thirlkill; her grandchildren, Deshawn, Javante, Shara, Kyle, Shamari, Tavaris, Mya, Tamya, Jalen, Eric Jr., Malia, and Nahriyah; sisters-in-law, Barbara Davidson ( Rev. Dr. Green Davidson III) of Tuscumbia, AL, Betty Davidson of Tuscumbia, AL, Betty Ruth Davidson Cherry of Sheffield, AL; five great grandchildren; there are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends that will honor her memory.
