Elmer Henry Johnson was born on July 10, 1952, to the late Iller Mae Johnson in Troy, New York. He accepted Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Reverend Tamrue Thompson at First Missionary Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Elmer departed his life on January 01, 2024, peacefully at his residence. He now joins his loving wife Pearlie Johnson, mom, and grandmother.

Byrd of Sheffield, AL; two granddaughters, Charity Nicole Smith and Katrina Keyshawn Smith; three great grandchildren, Montravious O’Neal Yarbrough, Giovanni Tay’von Acklin, and London Nicole Smith-Flint, all of Sheffield, AL; two sisters, Bethenia Smith of Muscle Shoals, AL and Willie Mae Jackson of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers, James (Marrisa) Johnson of Norway , John Paul (Linda) Johnson of Muscle Shoals, AL, and David Earl Johnson of Sheffield, AL; two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
