Edgar Ricks Jr.

Mr. Edgar Ricks Jr. was born November 26, 1940 to the late Edgar and Earline Ricks.
He was a man that believed in God, family, and hard work.
He was preceded in death by his three sons: Joseph Ricks, Donnie Ricks, and Calvin Summerhill; two daughters: Edna Ricks and Hortencia Beasley; four sisters: Flora Lee Koger, Ida Mae Coffey, Emma Lou Ricks, Rebecca Stewart; two brothers: Nathaniel Ricks and George Ricks.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife: Ms. Mamie Thomas, Sheffield, Alabama, children: Edgar (Kym) Ricks, Jennifer Pleasant, Shawaunte Williams, Sazon Williams all of Florence, Alabama, Ricky Ricks, Decatur, Alabama Charles (Pheobe) Ricks, Bay Minnette, Alabama, Terry Ricks, Leighton, Alabama, Courtney Thomas, Cleveland, Ohio, Bonnie Ray, Buffalo, New York, Ronnie (Mary) Ricks, Pensacola, Florida, Flora Williams, Rochester, New York, Glenda Qualls, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Jennifer Jones, Newark, New Jersey, Denise Thomas, Regina Hegler and Robert Anderson, all of Sheffield, Alabama and Sandra Jackson, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, two sisters: Bertha Ricks and Sarah (William) Hayley of Leighton, Alabama, brother, David Ricks, Leighton, Alabama, two sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Ricks and Mary Ricks, one uncle, Rev. Marshall (Jean) Robinson, Chattanooga, Tennessee, four aunts: Queen Ester Ricks, Evelyn (Oscar) Ricks both of Leighton, Alabama, Edith Robinson and Janice Robinson both of Chattanooga, Tennessee, special niece, Marilyn Seals, longtime friend, Mary Malone, family friend, Mecko Johnson, and fifty-nine grandchildren, sixty-nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
