Duane Cordell Seals, Sr. was born September 4, 1975, to Juanita Seals and the late Winfred Seals. He attended Hazelwood high school where he ran track. He departed his life on May 10, 2025, from a short illness.
He is preceded in death by his late father, Winfred Seals and his late sister, Vonda Simmons.
Cordell was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was very outgoing and always filled with jokes, joy and laughter. Anytime he was around it was always smiles and good times. He brought the light to any bad day and always shined.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories:
his mother, Juanita Seals of Town Creek, AL; one daughter, Idalis Seals of Huntsville, AL; two sons, Duane Seals, Jr. of Huntsville, AL, and Jeremiah Kirkman (Aaliyah) of Florence, AL; four grandchildren, Kaidence (lil Juanita) of Huntsville, AL, Aladdin (Pnut head), Jassiah (Terminator), Zy’air(Big man), all of Florence, AL; a very special friend, Tammie Thompson of Sheffield, AL; five sisters, Lolieta Simmons of Town Creek, AL, Melissa Madden (Damond) of Town Creek, AL, Segrid Yates of Leighton, AL, Rhonda Jackson of Arkansas; two brothers, Charles Bynum of Decatur, AL, and Tony Ross of Chicago, IL. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
