Ms. Deloise Jean King was born June 27, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Stella Smith and the late Andrew Smith, Sr. She departed this life on January 27, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother Board until the end. She retired from Decatur General Hospital and Volunteers of America.
Deloise was preceded in death by her oldest son, Derrick King; two brothers, James Willard and Andrew Smith, Sr.; and six sisters, Nellie Jones, Ruby McCord, Perlie Foster, Shirlena White, Ella Smith, and Helen Bass.
She leaves to cherish: one son, Lamaric King (Kendra); one daughter, Deja White; two granddaughters, Amiria Wood and Kaloni King; three grandsons, Codarrius Watters, Aaron Allen, and Ke’Ariyen Alexander; two great-granddaughters, Kamora Woods and Nevaeh Watters (Munch); one great-grandson, Kassan Fletcher; one godson, Christian Tucker; one brother, Wess Smith; one sister, Bessie Napier; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
