Deidre (Dee) Creshelle Jones was born May 31, 1978, to Brenda Jones.
She accepted Jesus Christ at the age of twelve and joined the Little Zion #2 MB Church of Florence, Alabama, under the pastorage of the late Pastor Thomas Fuqua. While a faithful member, she also served under the pastorage of the late Pastor Frank Abernathy and Pastor Christopher Mayes.
Dee was blessed with a singing voice and was an active member of the Choir. She could be heard leading songs as: Jesus Is the Light, Silver and Gold, There’s a Leak in this Old Building, There’s Going to be a Perfect Day, etc.
In January 2014, she became a Charter Member of the Living Word Community Church, Tuscumbia, Alabama under the pastorage of Pastor Shane D. Rainer. She was a faithful member and served as a member of the Praise and Worship Team until a medical issue with her foot prevented her from standing.
Dee was preceded in death by her Great Grandparents: Robert and Viola Brown (Maw Maw) of Florence, Alabama, and Mary Norah of Bessemer, Alabama, grandfather, Eddie Jones, aunt, Joyce Russell both of Bessemer, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Brenda Kaye Jones, daughters: Yasmine DaKaya Pride of Florence, Alabama, D'Ericka Deoncé Rena Jackson of Florence, Alabama, Godchildren: Keambria Summerhill, Kierian Long and Gianna Crittenden of Florence, Alabama, Maternal Grandfather, Cornelia Jones of Florence, Alabama, four Aunts: Beverley (Charles) Lovelace Huntsville, Alabama, Angelenia (Wesley) Scott of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, LaWanda Scott of Florence, Alabama, Roberta Campbell, Florence, Alabama, special cousins: Shawn Lovelace (more like a brother), Angelia Scott, Lesley Scott, Isaiah Scott (Tae-Tae and Serendity), Hydeia Hunt, Amethyst Hunt, Elijah Lovelace, Jeremiah Lovelace, Matt Lovelace; Pastor Shane D. Rainer and the Members of the LWCC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
