Mrs. Darlene Rogers Hollis was born on January 1, 1957 to the late Granison Rogers, Sr. and the late Gladys Rogers. She departed this life on May 11, 2022.
She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined the First Missionary Baptist Church in Sheffield, Alabama, where she was an avid member of the Deaconess Board, Adult Women I Sunday School class, and faithful choir member.
Darlene was loved by many. She never hesitated to help anyone in need. She held a special place for her grandchildren and was affectionately known as “Mimi”. She also was “The Nanny” to her sweet Zoey Lucille.
Darlene leaves to cherish her loving memories, husband of 46 years: Charles Hollis, Sr., children: Marcus Acklin (LeJanay), Tonia Morris, Charles Hollis, Jr., and Kimberly Hollis; brothers: Granison Rogers, Jr., Perry Rogers, and Timothy Rogers; sisters: Ruby Fenton and Gayle Abernathy; sister-in-laws: Pat Moore (Leroy), Linda Goodman, and Ruby Brown (Eddie); grandchildren: Diamond Acklin, Kaiya Morris, Aleece Hollis, and Charlee Acklin; best friend: Glenda Goode; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
