Chester Lee Dillard was born November 28, 1940, to the late Emmit and Lucille Pillar. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Dilliard; his brothers, Emmit Pillar, Earl Piller, and Leon Pillar; As well as, his daughter, Lawanda Casey; stepdaughter, Corikas Patterson; and stepson, Donnie Murphy, Sr.
Chester is survived by his brothers, Johnnie Ray Pillar (Cynthia), Daryl Pillar (Evelyn), and Vernon Pillar “Nunny”; as well as several children, Payron Dilliard (Gina Dilliard), Jacquline Williams, Darick Ragland, Vonetta Ragland, and stepdaughter, Eartha Johnson; grandchildren, Rico Dilliard (Cindy), Marcus Dilliard (Kim), Damien Dillard (Maegan), LaMarius Dillard (Lillian), Terrence Casey, Brittany Armstead, Ladarius Ragland, Jamarian Summerhill, Jalen Ragland (Malorie), Jordan Ragland, Azuree’ Mclean, Nikita Johnson, Donnie Murphy, Jr., Latonya Shearn (Joseph), Renita Rutledge (Burnis), Edwin Johnson, Jr., Sierra Johnson, Bernita Patterson, Mia Patterson, DeRaysha Ragland, and Jha’Lisha Weakley; great grandchildren, Isaac, Laiken, Serenity, Niesha, Khalyl, Chester, Liela, Kharington, Aden, Ashton, Mason, Landon, Braxton, Brynlee, Kobe, Nevaeh, Destiny, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
