Carol Ann Whiteside was born to the late James Sr. and Alma Abernathy Whiteside on December 19, 1950, in Sheffield, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Whiteside and sister Glenda W. King.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, and later joined with Bethel Colbert Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories four devoted children: Anjanette Anderson (New Orleans, LA), Terilyn Whiteside (Muscle Shoals, AL), Anthony (JoAnn) Whiteside (Douglasville, GA), and Eddie (Daisha) Whiteside (Muscle Shoals, AL). One sister: Evelyn Pugh (Sheffield, AL). Three brothers: James Jr (Vonda) Whiteside (Florence, AL), Charles (Marilyn) Whiteside (Tuscumbia, AL), and Larry (Paula) Whiteside (Huntsville, AL). One brother-in-law: James King (Tuscumbia, AL). Aunts: Lorraine Abernathy (Muscle Shoals, AL), and Lucille Hampton (Sheffield, AL). Grandchildren: TerQuina, Sheree, Antonio (Myra), Kajari, Myeisha, Aaliyah, Selena, SaMya, and Christen. Great grandchildren: Kea’Ala (devoted), Imani, Amaria, Kaycen, AJ, Taylor, and Malikah. Devoted friends: Wanda Faye Whiteside, Janie Mitchell, Linda Bullett, and Brenda Brown. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
