Carla Yvette Petty was born on October 28, 1964, in Colbert County, Alabama to Rose Jane White Petty and Thomas Harry Petty, Sr. She was the eldest of her siblings. She departed this life on January 12, 2024, at her home in Florence, AL.
Carla was a very diligent worker and carried a no-nonsense tolerant characteristic. Carla enjoyed the simple things in life: good food, long drives going no-where, and brief conversations with her loved ones. Most of all she learned to love and enjoy peace and harmony.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas H. Petty, Sr and Rosie Jane White Petty and her grandparents, John T. and Ella Mae Petty, and Tom White, an Aunt Zenobia E. Carter, and an Uncle Daniel A. Drumgood. A little brother, Brett O’Neal Hardy
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Two brothers, Thomas Harry Petty, Jr (Denetha) of Lincoln, AL. Marvin Alonzo Petty (Katina) of Florence, AL. four sisters, Barbera Ann Jackson (Henry) of Sheffield, AL. Carolyn Diane Lewis of Tuscumbia, AL. Vickie Shaw Williams, Raven (Keith) Burt, And two Uncle Johnny Larry Petty and William D. Roger. Eleven nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
