Blessed Are Those Who Mourn, for They Will be Comforted- Matthew 5:4
Mr. Carl “Anthony” Thompson was born September 9th 1964 to the late Hattie and Robert Thompson Sr. He departed this life on Monday November 28th, 2022 at his home. He confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Anthony was a proud graduate of Deshler High School and worked hard all his life until his later years. He made many friends throughout the years with his big heart and giving nature. He was always wiling to give beyond what he had for the next person. With a love of Janet Jackson, Madea, and all things Hallmark, Anthony loved big and always ended his calls with an “I love you”.
Although Anthony’s earthly work is done, memories of him will be cherished by: his brothers, Robert Thompson Jr. and Clarence (Emma) Thompson and sister Joy Smith; nieces, Ashlee Kennedy, Reece Smith, Chloe Smith, Phyllis Thompson, Shunta Stokes, and nephews Robert Thompson III and Clarence Thompson Jr.; aunts, Carrie Britton, Ellen (James) Fuqua, Bonnie (Frank) Jefferson, and Helen Scott; uncles Larry (Lora) Softley, William (Lovie) Softley, and Jimmy Thompson; and a host of cousins, great niece and nephews, and friends especially those in his beloved Mayfield, Kentucky along with the Luker family, the Hoover family, and the Garrigus family.
