Mrs. Billie Jean (White) Burt was born December 24, 1947, to the late Mary Alice White and Tom White. She gained her wings on September 25, 2024, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, AL.
Mrs. Billie accepted Christ early in life. She was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, under the leadership of Reverend Roger Pride. She remained a member even in her sickness.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reverend Melvin Burt Sr.; mother, Mary Alice White; father, Tom White; daughter, Tonya Jackson; granddaughter, Kayatia Jackson; sisters, Ruth Ann Jackson and Rosie White; brothers, Eugene White and Willie White.
Billies leaves behind a loving family:
a daughter, Jacqueline Burt; a son, Melvin (Elaine) Burt Jr.; sisters, Rita Evans, Bettie Evans, Linda Evans, Jeraldine (the late Walker) Rowell, and Christine (Eddie) White; a brother, Richard White; grandchildren, LaQuan (Jocelyn) Burt, Yachi (Kenny) Burt Adamson, Howard Jackson, and Naketia (Nicholas) Russell;; great grandchildren, Kayatia, Kaylanee, Amir, Casen, Harmony, Leila, Keontris, King, and Joriah; a very dear friend, Janie Mitchell; and along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family that she loved so dearly.
