Bernice Carroll

Bernice Carroll was born May 15, 1949, to the late Mrs. Robbin Roberta Carroll and Mr. George Washington Carroll in Sheffield, Alabama. She departed her life in the comfort of her home on May 17, 2023. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Methodist Church, where she later joined Everdale M.B. Church, where she was a faithful member on the usher board.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Roberta, and George Carroll; her sister, Helen Carroll; two brothers, Frederick Carroll, and James Carroll; her grandson, Carter Wooden; and a great nephew, Terrance Carroll.

Bernice leaves to cherish her memories: a very devoted spouse, Michael Johnson of Muscle Shoals, AL; two sons, John LaShawn Wooden of Ohio and Leroy Carroll of Sheffield, AL; a daughter, Joscelyn Carroll of Fort Drum, NY; one brother, Rev. Dr. George (Mattie) Granville of Muscle Shoals, AL; six grandchildren , Artirea Decatur of Florence, AL; LaShawn Jones and Nikki Wooden of Muscle Shoals, AL; Michael Eggleston of Decatur, AL; Tamia Wooden of Ohio, and Dominique Carroll of Decatur, AL; ten step-children, Mecco Johnson of Florence, AL; Anny Johnson of Huntsville, AL; Teresa, Tasha, Sheila, Wuanita, Felicia, Felita, and Tyrone Wooden of Florence, AL; three nephews, Charles (Angela) Carroll of Charleston, SC; Robert and Keith Carroll of Sheffield, Al; four nieces, Juanita Carroll and Mariko Redcross of Muscle Shoals, AL; Marilyn Davis of Tuscumbia, AL; and Millette Granville of Concord, NC; two devoted cousins, Courtney (Big C) Carroll and Gloria Smith of Sheffield, AL; a devoted adopted niece, Tammy Bates of Muscle Shoals, AL; a devoted sister-in-law, Ann Johnson of Muscle Shoals, AL; a devoted nephew-in-law, Andrew (Toot) Wright of Florence, AL; and a host of other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
