Barbara Buckman Obituary

Mrs. Barbara Jeanette Johnson Buckman was born November 14, 1940, in Tuscumbia, Alabama, to the late Carrie Mae Randolph and the late Nelson Johnson. Barbara was the second oldest of her siblings. She departed this life on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Glennwood Nursing Home in Florence, AL.

Barbara attended Trenholm High School in Tuscumbia, AL. She was a faithful member of the Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, until she became terminally ill.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carrie Mae Randolph and Nelson Johnson; siblings, Mary Carolyn Burrows, Thomas Ervin Bibbs, Faye Bibbs; a son, William Anthony Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories:

a son, Micheal (Brenda) Johnson of Muscle Shoals, AL; one daughter, Jennifer Brunson of Florence, AL; sisters, Linda Moore of Amarillo, TX, Doris Johnson of Indiana, and Karen Lynn Mastin of Tuscumbia, AL; brothers, Minister Wayne Bibbs of Little Rock, AR, Hiawatha (Pam) Johnson of Florence, AL, and Delmus Johnson of Florence, AL; four grandchildren, Micheal, Demarcus, Cedric, and Yohannis; and great grandchildren; a long time friend, Marlene Abernathy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
