Arthur Donnell Wright was born on June 07, 1953, to the late Clinton and Mary Wright in Memphis, Tennessee. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 17, 2024.
He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized. He attended and graduated from Mitchell High School in Memphis, TN. He also attended college for 2 years prior to entering the U.S. Navy. He served in the Vietnam War while serving in the Navy. Later, he retired from the Navy Reserves and retired after 34 years of working with the U.S. Corps of Engineers.
Arthur united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Acklin Wright on Valentines Day of 2003. He loved to travel, watch football, and old Antique Cars. Arthur was the “Jack” of all trades.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Mary Wright; two brothers, Raymond and Joseph Wright; and one uncle, Joseph Wright.
Arthur leaves to cherish his memories:
a loving and devoted wife, Mary Wright of Florence, AL; his loving daughter, Artisha Wright of Memphis, TN; his bonus children, Patricia Acklin and Jerrald Acklin of Sheffield, AL; grandchildren, Avona Wright, Robbie Thomas Jr., Ta’Vaion Russell, Michael Russell, and Aiden Russell; several bonus grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita (Clussie) Smith of Fresno, CA, Gloria Wright of Memphis, TN, and Keith Wright of Memphis, TN; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
