Aquila Renea Nixon affectionately known as “Qua” departed this life on February 4, 2025, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She was born on January 27, 1979, to the late Mr. Harold Goodloe and Ms. Ruby Sanford. She accepted Christ at the age of 10 and attended Lesley Temple in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
Aquila was known for her humor, her boldness, and her strength. Her biggest accomplishments are her children and grandchild. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1997 and then completed 2 years at Northwest Shoals Community College.
Aquila was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Rev. Grady Nixon & Lillie Ricks Nixon and her father: Harold Goodloe.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Sanford (Nelson Nelbon); her children, Alonzo Reeder, Azhala Reeder, and Artencia Belue; one grandchild, Lennox Reeder; three sisters, Shannell Acklin, Elizabeth Sanford, and Teresa Goodloe; three brothers, Charles Nixon, Marcus (Miranda) Nixon, and Desmond Sanford; she also leaves to cherish her memories, Jesse Troupe and her closest friends, Chaka Malone, Kesha Crum, Arja Johnson, Tia Ricks, Sharenda Brown, and LaTasha Ricks; and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
