Mrs. Annie Pearl Jackson Smith was born on January 23, 1947, to the late Susie Elizabeth and Harry D. Hankins.
God called her home on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at her residence in Florence, AL. She was married to the late Johnnie Rudolph Smith. She was preceded in death by one loving daughter, Aretha Faye Hankins; two sisters, Shirley Ann Hankins, and Sadie Mae Horrison; three brothers, Walter Thomas, Rev. Willie D. Hankins, and Donnie Horrison.
She leaves to cherish her memories:
one loving daughter, Mrs. Stephanie Hankins Anderson (Kenneth) of Tennessee; one God daughter, Rochell Burnett of Sheffield, AL; two loving sons, Rev. Alton Hankins (Mary Ann) of Athens, AL, and Terry Hankins of Florence, AL; one God son, Patrick Horrison of Florence, AL; three brothers, Larry (Rena) Hankins of Muscle Shoals, AL, Charlie (Annie I) Hankins of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Grover C. (Christine) Hankins of Muscle Shoals, AL; four sisters, Kitty Hankins of Athens, AL, Dora Hankins of Sheffield, AL, Rebecca (Bill) Darby of Muscle Shoals, AL; and Bonnie Jean Thompson of Florence, AL; four grandchildren, La’ Keisa Horne Brown (Robert) of Athens, AL; Shaiquanna Malone of Florence, AL, Demontay Hankins of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Bryan Hankins of Muscle Shoals, AL; six great grandchildren, Demauria Davidson of Athens, AL, Robert Brown Jr. of Athens, AL, Dash Amir Hankins of Red Bank, Brianna Donley of Atlanta, GA, and Jakia Sanders of Leighton, AL; a very, very special & loving, caring, and kind great granddaughter, Kae’Lonei Hankins of Florence, AL; two special friends, Arlena Teague and Sandy Russell, both of Florence, AL; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
