Alex Donnell Whitson

Mr. Alex Donnell Whitson, of Sheffield, Alabama, was born July 12, 1961, to the late Barbara Jean Whitson and Alex Crawford. He departed this life on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Florence Nursing and Rehab Center in Florence, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Jean Whitson and Alex Crawford; one brother, Cecil Shaw; three sisters, Tina Whitson Hicks, Faylon Whitson Kelly, and Fanita Whitson Abernathy.

Alex leaves to cherish her memories:

two brothers, Rev. Herbert Whitson and Jerical Whitson; five sisters, Linda Smith, Rhonda Whitson, Lydia Russell, Charlotte Whitson, and Diane Whitson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
