Mr. McArthur transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Memorial Herman NE Hospital, Humble, Texas.
Abraham McArthur, Jr., known as "Big Mac" and "Mack", called "Dad" and "Pops" by the children, and "Grandpa Mac" and "Gramps" by the grandchildren, was born August 21, 1951 in Sheffield, Alabama. He lived in El Paso and Houston, and passed away in Spring, Texas.
He was a Staff Sgt in the U.S. Army, and worked for the Postal Service. He enjoyed going to the shooting range, and collecting guns, knives, and swords. He loved music, the Houston Rockets, and smothered pork chops from Granny Dee's Kitchen in Spring, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham McArthur, I and Lillian "Maebell" (Young); grandparents, William McArthur, Sr. and Viola (Pearsall); and brothers, Larry and James McArthur.
Survivors include one daughter: Errica (Charles) Ratliff, of Burnsville, Minnesota; three sons: Abraham "Abe" McArthur, III (Jamie), of Tharptown, Alabama; Gabriel "Gabe" McArthur, Sr., of Russellville, Alabama; and Clifton "Cliff" McArthur (Alicia), of Ontario, Canada; grandchildren: Christina Roble, and Christian and Christopher Roble-Ratliff, all of St. Paul, Minnesota; Sean Ratliff, of Burnsville, Minnesota; AbeBrie, Abraham McArthur, IV ("Quad), Abel, and Abe-mazing McArthur, all of Tharptown, Alabama; Gabriel "Little Gabe" McArthur, Jr., of Town Creek, Alabama; Casandra, Lupeolo, Olivia, Tamar, and Soleil McArthur, all of Ontario, Canada; great grandsons: Wynter McArthur, of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Camilo Martinez, of Ontario, Canada; and a host of other relatives and friends.
